After two weeks in our second apartment, the indoor flowers were doing quite well. After checking with my wife, we noticed that the Kalanchoe blossfeldiana had died, which was a surprise, since it usually tolerates drought well. The bigger surprise was the difficulties with one of the cacti. It had dropped two of its large branches onto the floor. We pressed them into the soil and hoped for the best. With the help of the watering pots from below, we can be away for longer.

Ennuste:

Luultavasti viikonloppuun sijoittuviin lukuisten kukkien kasteluun ja muuhun hoitoon liittyviin töihin tulee sisältymään ennakoimattomia yllätyksiä.

Oltuamme kakkosasunnollamme kaksi viikkoa sisäkukat selvisivät melko hyvin. Vaimon kanssa tarkasteltuamme huomasimme tulilatvan menehtyneen, mikä oli yllätys, sehän kestää kuivuutta yleensä hyvin. Suurempi yllätys oli yhden kaktuksen vaikeudet. Se oli tiputtanut kaksi isoa haaraansa lattialle. Painoimme ne multaan toivoen parasta. Altakasteluruukkujen avulla voimme olla matkoilla pitempään.
